DevOps Engineering Manager (offline)

We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineering Manager to join the team on an exciting and challenging client engagement.

What we are looking for:

Technical Leadership​

- Line management responsibility of several cross-functional DevOps squads
- Provision of hands-on technical leadership to DevOps Squads to ensure they are «building things right»
- Overall responsibility for the technical design and build of high-performance, reusable, and reliable Apex / Java code in line with Industry best practices.
- Overall responsibility for the technical design and build of re-usable Integration services using Industry-standard protocols and patterns (XML, JSON, Webservices, HTTP/HTTPS, and batch integration).
- Provide early input and validate the technical feasibility of proposed solutions
- Facilitate technical design workshops across one or more cross-functional squads
- Provide hands-on expert assistance to developers removing technical blockers / Impediments
- Coach and mentor squad members to ensure they are building the correct technical skills and softer skills to be successful within a DevOps environment.

​DevOps Practitioner​

- Advocating and Embedding DevOps engineering concepts and practices such as Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Lean Architecture and Design, Refactoring, Code Review, Code Quality, and Automated Testing (TDD, BDD, ATDD), Branching Strategy, Continuous Monitoring.
- Enabling an end-to-end CI/CD pipeline by automating the building, testing, and deployment of applications for multiple lifecycle environments and variances
- Responsibility for continually addressing and reducing technical debt and «build quality-in»
- Responsibility for identifying opportunities to automate non-value added and recurring activities and identifying long-term options such as self-service.

Agile / DevOps Process Practitioner

​ - Evangelizing the role of DevOps and Agile within the Squads to achieve business benefits including Faster Time to Market, Faster ROI, Predictable Release Cadence, Optimized Delivery Times, Cost Optimization, Waste Elimination, and Risk Reduction.
- Working with the Product Managers, Scrum Master, and Agile Coach to help embed DevOps culture and product mindset
