Playwing is looking for a Quality Assurance Team Lead who will successfully manage a functional
QA team with a strong sense of quality ownership.

— Define and monitor testing procedures and practices: test management, defect management and tracking management.
— Track and provide QA statuses to stakeholders.
— Review and present different types of QA deliverables including reports.
— Provide insights about production quality and prepare improvement plans to improve quality for low-quality areas.
— Be an influencer to a matrix-managed team’s members and managers, providing the highest quality standards and approaches.
— Participate in the interviews of new team members, guide the onboarding process.
— Participate in the performance review process.
— Conduct 1-1 meetings with subordinate team members.
— Ensure QA personnel are prioritizing and tracking defects and issues correctly and recommend corrective action where required.
— Implement testing policies, procedures and standards across company's products.
— Adapt the testing strategy to the project’s expansion.
— Planning and estimating the testing activities.
— Tasks prioritization.
— Coordinate with various teams for specific tests.
— Supervise and coordinate over the whole test process cycle.
— Prepare Test Summary Reports and Release Notes.
— Manage a team of 5-10 QA engineers and evaluate their performance, develop and coach team.
— Collaborating with the UpWork freelancers that are providing the services required for the testing purpose.

— Previous managerial experience as a team leader.
— Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
— Knowledge of test case management tools (Testrail, TM4J, etc).
— In depth understanding of formal test and development processes.
— Strong verbal and written communication skills.
— Strong project and time management skills with a proven ability to focus on priorities, solve problems, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
— Enthusiastic, positive, team oriented, and organized.
—Ability to work under tight schedules and high-stress environment.
— Understanding of agile-based SDLCs (Scrum/Kanban).
— Experience with API Contract verification using tools such as Swagger or REST Docs.
— Experience with RESTful API web service execution and validation using tools such as Postman or SOAP.
— Experience in working with databases (NoSQL is an advantage).
— Strong leadership skills.
— A sense of humour doesn’t hurt either =)
— Analytical and problem-solving skills.
— Ability to establish QA processes from scratch with further monitoring and control, including creation and maintenance of supportive artifacts, procedures, and metrics.
