Quality Assurance Team Lead (offline)

Responsibilities:
β€” Define and monitor testing procedures and practices: test management, defect management and tracking management.
β€” Track and provide QA statuses to stakeholders.
β€” Review and present different types of QA deliverables including reports.
β€” Provide insights about production quality and prepare improvement plans to improve quality for low-quality areas.
β€” Be an influencer to a matrix-managed team’s members and managers, providing the highest quality standards and approaches.
β€” Participate in the interviews of new team members, guide the onboarding process.
β€” Participate in the performance review process.
β€” Conduct 1-1 meetings with subordinate team members.
β€” Ensure QA personnel are prioritizing and tracking defects and issues correctly and recommend corrective action where required.
β€” Implement testing policies, procedures and standards across company's products.
β€” Adapt the testing strategy to the project’s expansion.
β€” Planning and estimating the testing activities.
β€” Tasks prioritization.
β€” Coordinate with various teams for specific tests.
β€” Supervise and coordinate over the whole test process cycle.
β€” Prepare Test Summary Reports and Release Notes.
β€” Manage a team of 5-10 QA engineers and evaluate their performance, develop and coach team.
β€” Collaborating with the UpWork freelancers that are providing the services required for the testing purpose.

Qualifications:
β€” Previous managerial experience as a team leader.
β€” Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
β€” Knowledge of test case management tools (Testrail, TM4J, etc).
β€” In depth understanding of formal test and development processes.
β€” Strong verbal and written communication skills.
β€” Strong project and time management skills with a proven ability to focus on priorities, solve problems, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
β€” Enthusiastic, positive, team oriented, and organized.
β€”Ability to work under tight schedules and high-stress environment.
β€” Understanding of agile-based SDLCs (Scrum/Kanban).
β€” Experience with API Contract verification using tools such as Swagger or REST Docs.
β€” Experience with RESTful API web service execution and validation using tools such as Postman or SOAP.
β€” Experience in working with databases (NoSQL is an advantage).
β€” Strong leadership skills.
β€” A sense of humour doesn’t hurt either =)
β€” Analytical and problem-solving skills.
β€” Ability to establish QA processes from scratch with further monitoring and control, including creation and maintenance of supportive artifacts, procedures, and metrics.
