Power BI Developer, Engineering Services (offline)

About the vacancy

Our client is an international oil and gas company, specializing in four market sectors: Onshore Engineering & Construction, Offshore Projects & Operations, Engineering & Consulting Service, Integrated Energy Services.

DataArt team works on a number of projects. One of them is building a brand new Data Analytics and Visualization platform for the client’s TOP management team. We are gathering data from 3000+ sources, consolidate, visualize, and build predictions based on the data.

Another project involves automating the helpdesk system operations (where requests and complaints are processed) using machine learning.

Responsibilities
- Build data analytics enterprise models using Microsoft technologies including Power BI, SSAS, and SSIS
- Develop tabular, multidimensional models compatible with warehouse standards
- Develop self-service models and data analytics using the Power BI service
- Develop, publish, and schedule reports and dashboards to meet business requirements
- Assist business users with functional and data requirements to enhance data models
- Data management: modelling, normalization, cleaning, and maintenance

Must have
- 5+ years of experience with the Power BI service (Data Flows, Linked Entities, Data Sets)
- Ability to analyze system complexity and translate technical concepts into solutions/applications
- Experience with the Microsoft Azure platform and service
- Experience working with data gateways, data integration, and self-service data preparation
- Hands-on experience working with data modeling and data model normalization
- Experience in requirement analysis, design, and prototyping
- Solid understanding of data analytics application security layer models
- Extensive hands-on knowledge in data mining and statistical analysis
- Understanding of various data structures and common methods used in data transformation
- Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and the ability to work with ETL tools
- Proficient with Power BI development & building reports/dashboards
- Experience of data modelling and DAX
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate)
- Knowledge of SQL, MS Azure
- Understand data architectures, data warehousing principles, ability to participate in the design and development of conventional data warehouse solutions
- Data presentation and design skills
- Business partnership skills focused on achieving results
- Spoken English
