Lead a team responsible for developing modern microservices catalogue. Solution aims to bring more clarity to the organization that moving to microservices architecture, by providing all related tools (runbooks, dashboards) and activities (as service ownership, chatOps) close to your fingertips.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery
Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
Take part in requirements analyzes.
Actively participate in researches, discussions and decisions on software architecture and internal coding, architectural, process and other standards
Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
Analyze and estimate implementation efforts
Risk estimations and management
Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
MUST HAVE:
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field/degree, and/or equivalent work experience
Commercial Ruby on Rails/JRuby Dev experience, 5+ years
Strong background in cloud services and distributed systems
Performance optimization/building fault-tolerant micro services experience
Unit testing experience
Debugging skills
Sufficient English level for communication (verbal & written)
Good communication and collaboration skills
Team management experience
Fast research and learning skills
WOULD BE A PLUS:
Vue.js or any other frontend experience
Deep experience with public cloud providers, preferably AWS
Proficient with Kubernetes
