Job Content

As a Delivery and TechOps Manager you will be responsible for managing our client team that completely owns the product from the engineering perspective that includes software development and production operation through all phases, from backlog to production. The product is a highly loaded web platform for the US SEC online data preparing and submission. The clients of our client (users of the platform), are world-class well-known companies, financial institutions, banks.

The existing team consists of two subteams/streams of work - platform development and database Azure cloud cluster operations. We are looking for a manager who likes a data-driven and pragmatic approach to software engineering, i.e. you like it when the goal and acceptance criteria are clearly defined and improvements are measured with actual data. We foster an Agile way of working with a high level of autonomy and self-responsibility and an absolute focus on the business value delivered.

Responsibilities
• Designing roles and responsibilities, teams structure
• Driving team members towards excellence in hard and soft skills
• Designing and improving the existing way of working in development and operation teams
• Maintaining a culture of technical excellence and leading the teams towards quality first mindset, simple architecture and high engineering quality
• Maintaining and contributing into cross-colleagues collaborative culture with focus on Agile values
• Management of relations with the client - stakeholders, colleagues working on the client site
• Management of software engineering team and database cloud cluster operations team
• Management of the upcoming stream of software engineering work, pragmatic planning and ensuring the commitment is delivered
• Management of the stream of database cloud cluster improvements, proactive planning of improvement activities, monitoring and alerting, costs optimization
• Management of the production incident response process by software and database teams
• Help team members to meet professional challenges, advice on best approaches, do 1-2-1 sessions, maintain a culture of personal improvement, knowledge sharing, open and direct communication within and across teams
• Help to hire right profiles, maintain horizontal and vertical moves, attract and retain the talent

Requirements
• Technical background in software engineering is a must
• Readiness to manage delivery of software with high technical complexity
• Proven ability to lead software delivery and operations, preferably in an Agile environment
• Positive attitude to people and project management
• Positive attitude to direct communication with the client
• Experience managing multiple teams working concurrently
