Required skills

● Fluent in English
● Excellent written and oral communication skills: able to articulate complex ideas clearly
● Ability to zoom in and out: you can dive deep into technical discussions and project details with engineering teams, and be strategic/big picture with executive teams
● 4+ years Web product or project management experience
● Experience delivering products with international reach (B2C, B2B)
● Experience managing development sprints with an engineering team
● Comfortable with project planning tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana)
● Experience with wireframing and flowcharting tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch)
● Familiar with web technologies and concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs): you can hold your own in engineering discussions, and ask the right questions
● Hands-on data analysis skills: SQL and web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, Amplitude)
● Familiar with SEO concepts and best practices
● Detail oriented, and endlessly curious
● Biased towards action and outcomes, and self-learner
● Proven ability to make decisions independently, quickly and with little guidance
● University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or similar field

Responsibilities

● Collaborate with management to translate quarterly objectives into initiatives
● Own project delivery from definition to release, and post-release monitoring
● Use data analytics to identify problems and opportunities for optimization
● Write product requirements (PRDs), user stories, and specs
● Produce wireframes, user flows, and other artifacts to communicate requirements
● Coordinate with designers, when needed, for design system deliverables
● Manage project scope, milestones, and timelines
● Work with engineering to deliver initiatives on time and against objectives
● Perform user-acceptance testing and assist with QA
● Communicate progress to various stakeholders
● Monitor website performance using web analytics and SEO tools
● Develop expertise in the shared services platform: use cases, systems and workflows
● Manage integration of new acquisitions and partner technologies

Project description


The Product Ops team is responsible for developing and maintaining a shared services platform that all brands use to operate (customer-facing websites, internal applications, marketing automation, reporting, and more).

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering improvements to our customer-facing websites (e.g. GraphPad.com, SnapGene.com and Geneious.com), improving internal applications, and coordinating acquisition and partner integration projects. You will be working alongside the Web engineering team, and collaborating frequently with product, marketing, business and customer success stakeholders.

This is a high-impact and hands-on role that requires β€œwearing multiple hats”: from translating business problems to concrete plans with wireframes, PRDs and stories, planning approach and milestones, to working directly with engineers and QA through delivery.
