Senior Machine Learning Engineer (offline)

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the Odessa team of the product company.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
A startup that develops a product using AI, ML, NLP, and other cutting-edge technologies. Founded in 2019, with offices located in Ukraine and the USA. About 20 employees. The company focuses on the US enterprise market.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT
A SaaS platform that uses the latest technologies and proprietary Machine Learning algorithms to analyze meetings. The platform is capable of identifying problems, issues, and crucial topics, measuring positive and negative aspects of communication, and much more. TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, JupyterHub, Nvidia GPUs.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Senior ML Engineer with 4+ years of experience in ML development (or 2 years in Python development + 2 years in ML development), with a deep understanding of ML principles and model development workflow, knowledge of NLP approaches, models, and libraries. A high level of English is required.

WHAT YOU ARE EXPECTED TO DO
Design and implement ML models and solutions in Python (primarily in NLP domain);
Perform various types of NLP tasks related to business meetings in English (e.g., work on phrase type recognition, text classification).
Determine the required datasets and interact with the data team for their development;
Develop various models to solve the problems above (e.g., Random Forest, Bag-of-words, models based on vectorization);
Improve accuracy of existing deep learning methods and models;
Follow the latest research in machine learning, apply it to current challenges.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Data Science team (Team Lead, 1 Junior and 2 Middle Machine Learning Engineers, Technical Product Manager);
Close cooperation with the Team Lead;
Other teams of the project (Engine, Web app, Infrastructure).

WHAT ENGLISH LEVEL IS EXPECTED
Upper-Intermediate +.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
4+ years of ML development (or 2 years in Python Development + 2 years in ML Development);
Strong understanding of machine learning principles and model development workflow;
Experience in NLP subdomain (work with text);
Good understanding of NLP approaches, models, and libraries (Bert, GPT, spaCy);
Experience with at least one of the popular ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch);
Strong knowledge of Python;
Knowledge of Git, source code versioning, management
Excellent coding style and coding best practices.

Will be a plus
Comfortable working with Linux;
Online coursework or certifications in data science;
Completed projects with large text datasets; high marks on kaggle
Working knowledge of Docker.

THE COMPANY OFFERS
Comfortable office in Odessa city center. Remote for the quarantine period (if desired, the team meets in the office on Fridays).
Flexible schedule, the result of the work is crucial.
Contract with a private entrepreneur (in Ukrainian: ФОП), salary in USD, tax coverage, accounting services, relocate bonus.

Interview with a GUID Recruiter;
Soft skills interview with Co-Founder (30 minutes);
Technical interview with Tech Lead (about an hour) + the candidate will present his data science projects.
