Middle Android Developer (Social Shopping Platform) (offline)

Customer.
Our customer is from the UK. The company owns a global marketplace for fashion industry that allows user selling customized or rare clothes and accessories. It provides a way to recycle unwanted items for money.

The customer is pretty successful, has raised more than 100 million USD of investments since the project has more than 15 million active users.

Project.
The project is a social shopping platform – mix of retail and social network platforms. Users have profile pages where they can post pictures and descriptions of what they are selling and for what price. Generally, a platform specializes in clothes retail. Posts can contain hashtags and additional information to make searching for items more comfortable.

The main task is to produce the most evocative buying and selling experience for users. You will be responsible for payment system integration and working with accessibility features.

Responsibilities:
Code, develop unit and integration tests, debug, document, implement, and maintain portions of software
Participate in estimation and planning sessions
Promote good design principles such as code reuse, modularity, and extensibility as well as mentor others in these principles
Perform code reviews for compliance with best engineering practices, coding standards, and quality criteria set forth on the project
Work with the team to determine requirements, review UI/UX designs
Feature development for Android and potentially backend platforms
Communicate with customers POs and other teams

Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in commercial mobile development
Excellent OOP/OOD skills and excellent quality of produced code
Expert in Kotlin/Java and functional programming (RxJava, RxKotlin Kotlin coroutines for asynchronous programming)
Expert in Android Jetpack
Understanding of data-driven & event-driven design concepts
Understanding of key business problems that can conflict with established architectural patterns (tree or graph app navigation, deep-linking, offline-mode support, etc.)
Wide experience with CI/CD systems
Extensive experience with Unit Testing

Will be a plus:
Experience with payment processors integrations (Braintree, Stripe, etc.)
Openness to learning new things (like Flutter, GraphQL, backend services implementation, etc.)
