Lead Quality Assurance Engineer (offline)

Description

We’re supporting IT infrastructure responsible for the renting tools all over the world for a lead provider company based in Switzerland. Our team is working with SAP platform and middleware (Java microservices). You will be working with managers and BAs to establish a quality management system to catch bugs earlier in the flow and shift the whole system left.

Requirements

Our project is a big and complex rental system for corporate clients. We operate on a global scale and work with huge construction companies. The system has a range of system-critical components and generates 1mln CHF per month. GlobalLogic team is a primary vendor and we work in a tight collaboration for 16 months already.

We want to improve our quality processes and looking for a person with a consultant mindset but strong QA/QC skills. The goal is to launch a transformation and change how do we test, control, and validate quality. You will have a chance to lead this transformation.

– 5+ years in Software Testing as QA/QC. At least 1 year as a Lead QA.

– Experience in setting process frameworks, applying new tools

– Tight collaboration with the client is a must. You will need to deal with a number of stakeholders from the client-side in solo

– Proven knowledge of test documentation creation. You will need to identify which documentation will fit the project best

– Proven knowledge of testing big ERP/CRM systems. SAP knowledge is a good nice to have, otherwise, we will teach you.

– English on a fluent level. Communication is a key skill in here.

Responsibilities

We can derive your responsibilities into 3 major phases:

Phase 1:

– Project onboarding, get familiar with the platform, team, domain.

– Come up with ideas on what can be improved/changed: change jira flow, introduce new practices and artifacts

– Structure the implementation plan

Phase 2:

– Lead implementation of the plan.

– Test ideation, design and analysis for SAP and microservices

– Running manual cases; manual testing of API using Postman

– Creating a framework for API testing/contract testing

Phase 3:

– Kaizen improvements of the flow and process
