Cloud Architect (offline)

Requirements:

• Advanced understanding of Cloud IaaS, PaaS and/or Serverless Architectures for a global enterprise with the focus on Azure
• 6 years of work-related experience in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Strong experience working with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.
• Experience working with the customer, management, and technical teams and delivering development services.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or in a closely related or equivalent field.
• At least one valid Azure or Solutions Architect certification

Will be a plus:

• Experience in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Jabil’s IT Cloud Architecture strategy and direction, which involves defining enterprise cloud roadmap, ensuring match with Jabil business and IT strategy, providing integrated cloud service standardization, providing regular updates to Global IT on execution of strategy, and taking feedback from Divisional IT to influence cloud architecture strategy.
• Drive the design and delivery of a high-quality cloud computing services across the enterprise.
• Participate in establishment of standards and methodologies and ensure those are followed.
• Collaborate with divisional IT teams to deliver cloud services to end users. Drive metrics management and performance of activities with a focus on a data- driven continuous improvement approach.
• Participate in the exchange of ideas and information across the global IT organization to help drive cloud service standardization and sharing of best practice initiatives.
• Ensure given priorities and deadlines are kept (demand management). Handle conflicting priorities with the available internal and external resources.
• Responsible for recruitment, retention, employee and team development, and performance management.
• Define processes and methods to support cloud architecture in production.
• Define cloud sizing methodology.
• Define management tools to support production environment. Document technical platform. Identify and provide guidance on pain points within the GSO and divisions.
• Perform root cause analysis and remediation actions. Identify “ways of working” to increase the productivity and efficiency of the GSO and divisional teams.
• Partner with GSO and divisional management to drive changes into production.
• Define technical policy and procedures. Achieve sign off from Divisional and GSO management.
• Define technical job content and qualifications of key roles required to support technical infrastructure.
• Work with GSO management to assess and aid to develop staff skill sets.
