DBA/SQL Engineer (offline)

We are looking for DBA/SQL Engineer to work on the comprehensive offender management solutions development. Our Customer is a proven leader in the delivery of such solutions and their award-winning product family has captured the attention of corrections professionals around the world as they seek to improve operational efficiency and offender outcomes, as well as help offenders to reenter the community with the best possible chances of success.

Responsibilities:
- Analyzing, designing, modeling, and implementing database components for one or more applications
- Writing and maintaining SQL code (functions, stored procedures, objects)
- Organizing database tasks in a project
- Optimizing and tuning database performance
- Solving production database issues
- Providing support and guidance to developers who need to interface with the database
- Providing deployment and production support as necessary
- Writing and maintaining data conversion scripts (for new customers, version upgrades)
- Communicating with customers about data migration activities
- Maintaining test environments
- Writing and maintaining ETL components (SSIS)
- Writing and maintaining Reports (SSRS)


Requirements:
- 5 years and more of SQL development experience in a related position with MS SQL Server 2012 & 2016
- 2-3 years of DBA experience (ideally MS SQL Server 2012 & 2016)
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with data modeling concepts and tools
- Thorough understanding of system design & analysis, acceptance testing, user training, and performance
improvement
- A positive “Can Do” attitude
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Passion for learning and applying new technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
