Python Engineer (offline)

The METER Food Division designs software and hardware products used in the food industry to measure and monitor food quality and safety in the manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate will have experience with and passion for creating, designing, and writing desktop and web application software.

Qualifications and Skills:

* BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
* 3+ years of software development experience
* Experience with Python (a coding exercise will be required as part of the interview process)
* Database experience
* Experience with web front-end software development (Django preferred)
* Experience with revision control systems (e.g., Subversion, Mercurial, Git, etc.)
* Good to excellent English communication skills

Responsibilities:

* Design, code, and debug desktop, mobile, and web applications.
* Participate in code reviews and a Scrum team.
* Analyze requirements, define and prioritize tasks, and contribute to program management.
* Write documentation and requirements for QA to test deliverables.
* Contribute to and maintain design and user documentation.

Well be a plus:

* Front-end web development experience with Django.
* Experience with defect tracking tools.
* Customer support experience.
