Middle Java developer (offline)

Description

Out customer is leading US media set top box vendor. They deliver video content to millions of users via scalable and robust infrastructure.

You will be working in a team of backend engineers to develop a RESTful service, which main purpose is to show mix of recommendations and ads in real time. You will have opportunity to work closely with data science team on a matter of content recommendation, real time analytics and advertisement targeting.

Requirements

- Intermediate English or higher
- Be good in Java
- Understanding of various database types (key-value, column, rdbms, etc)
- Experience with low latency REST services development is a plus
- Knowledge of big data and/or data science domain is a plus

Responsibilities

- Implementation of REST API
- Development of data preparation service with low latency
- Debug data flows in some big data tools (airflow, hive, aerospike)
- Work with existing ML models for ad targeting and recommendations
- Communication with customer
