Lead Scala consultant (offline)

Project Description:

The project is well underway, based on modern architecture: Scala, Akka, Kafka and React UI. The client is looking for extending the existing team with a senior consultant who will work closely with the team, assess the existing state and help maintain the project on sane track: contribute to all tiers of the architecture, design, implementation, code quality, build and deployment automation and so on.

Responsibilities:

• Review existing state and gain deep understanding of the project
• Contribute to architecture and design, come up with creative ideas where possible
• Contribute to functionality, potentially refactor select elements of the system

Mandatory Skills:

• Experience with Akka, Apache Kafka, Microservices, Java,
• Proven Scala experience
• Experience with message driven architecture
• Good communication skills
• Result-oriented and proactive mindset
• Upper-Intermediate (and above) English

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with React
