Senior Android Engineer(with BLE) - Project from scratch (offline)

Client – the worldwide manufacturer of smart beds, which increase the overall quality of sleep. The solution senses and automatically adjusts the comfort level:

- Tracking personal sleep data during the night
- Individual comfort and temperature balancing
- Comfort adjustability on each side of the bed

Project(from scratch)– development of the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connection layer to allow communication between the smart device and smartphone / remote.

Requirements:

BLE, Bluetooth, SDK, Java

Experience with Android test frameworks

Experience in embedded software development

Understanding of complex systems with wireless interfaces

Knowledge of wireless technologies used in IoT and Smart Home domains: Wifi, Bluetooth, Zigbee

Experience with Bluetooth programming and interfacing with Bluetooth devices

Understanding of cybersecurity, software development vulnerabilities

Experience using project management and version control tools

Experience with CI/CD

Good speaking and writing skills


Responsibilities:

Cooperate with a team to design, develop and unit test embedded software – BLE connectivity layer for IoT / Smart Home solution

Write clear, testable, and self-documented code

Provide helpful feedback during code reviews

Provide support to QA, management, and other software teams

Deal with root-cause issues reported by QA and customer feedback
