PHP middle engineer (offline)

Required skills
English : upper intermediate - almost all communication is in English.

Strong PHP practical experience ( + familiar with modern php features and able to use), overall experience 2-4 years

Understanding of how web-server and http protocol work

Understanding of how modern browsers work

Good debugging skills

Good understanding of programming paradigms

Good understanding of oop and MVC ( be familiar with one of the php frameworks is welcome. could be FLOW or any non-TYPO3 related framework )

Good knowledge of extbase development

Good knowledge of typoscript

Ajax ( + TYPO3 implementation of it )

Basic SEO ( related to BE development )

Good understanding of TYPO3 database structure

Knowledge of TYPO3 code conventions

Ability to write secure code

Ability to write nicely-formatted and easily maintainable code

Knowledge of performance tricks and best practices

Familiar with FE tools ( npm, bower, grunt/gulp, etc. )

Familiar with PHP tools ( composer, etc. )

Solid *nix skills

Responsibilities

Solve middle tasks on one's own

Split middle tasks to a bunch of simple ones.

Estimate time for middle tasks.

Suggest and track things that can be improved and provide a solution for that ( could be foundation / core stuff or project-related things )

Collaborate in TYPO3 community extensions common extensions or foundation / core extensions development

Educate/assist junior/entry level developers

Communicate with customers ( eg. take part in development meetings with customers providing development information and explanation)

Understanding of raw TYPO3 and understanding the TYPO3 / foundation / core difference



As a plus

Experience working with TYPO3 or WordPress CMS

Experience working with APIs delivering analytical data

Familiar with javascript libraries (Jquery, Vue etc.)

Familiar with FE libraries and technologies (bootstrap, less, sass)

Understanding of unit testing

Experience working with Continuous integration and Continuous delivery

Experience with Docker

We're looking for a developer who will be part of a team of PHP developers, FE developers, QA, content manager, technical analyst and project manager.
