Test Environment Manager (offline)

Responsibilities:

Maintaining a central repository of test-environments in scope with their latest version and connectivity details (Information management)
Allocation of test environments (booking/scheduling) to teams as per requirement. (Demand management)
Creation of new test environments as per requirement. (Supply management)
Environment Monitoring (Monitoring)
Deleting/updating outdated test-environments and its details (Housekeeping)
Preliminary investigation of issues on the environment and sometimes co-ordination till an issue resolution (Incident Management)
Analyzing data for environment issues, identifying trends and taking pro-active steps to resolve issues/co-coordinating for a long term fix. (Problem Management)
Test Data Management to ensure that test data is available to testers when needed via a TDM tool or test data refresh from other environments
Status Accounting to report on service, usage, and availability metrics to provide full transparency into test environment management activities
Continuous Improvement to continuously evaluate test environment management services for improvement opportunities (people, process, and tools)
Allocating resources to implement scheduled changes
Automation to eliminate manual tasks as much as possible to improve efficiency
Communication of all key project plans, commitments, and changes including deployment plans, schedule, and scope changes
Management of relationships and coordination of work between different teams at different locations
Leading and co-ordination the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Participating in CAB meetings.

Technical Experience & Requirements:
The TEM should have 5+ years of experience with the following abilities

Enterprise Linux systems administration at level to understand principles of resource allocation and monitoring, system startup sequence, system configuration.
Understanding principles of TCP/IP, routing, application network traffic balancing and failover
Oracle Weblogic or RH Jboss, Java application deployment and configuration including highly available configurations.
Experience in managing applications with external authentication providers (i.e. LDAP, MS AD, SSO)
Java application performance issues analysis and liaising with development on the resolution
Scripting languages: SH, Perl or Python
Oracle Database administration skills
PKI/Certificates
Telecom- OSS/BSS domain experience is a plus
Understanding of Continuous Delivery and DevOps methods;
Previous experience in automating large scale deployments of applications in a cloud is a plus (Openstack + Ansible)
Experience in developing monitoring agents for Nagios and Graphite is a plus
Knowledge of ITIL
Previous release and/or project management experience is a plus
Knowledge in the software development lifecycle
Team leadership skills, sufficient to lead the implementation of IT environments per design specifications
Excellent communication and team-building abilities
Leadership qualities such as conflict/issue resolution
Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a high degree of organizational skills
Business-like presence and ability to interact professionally with Customers;
Fluent English language as a principal business communication language.
