Build Engineer (offline)

A multinational telecommunications company with headquarters in London, Amsterdam, and Denver is the largest broadband internet service provider outside the US. We’re looking for a Networking Engineer who will help us to develop an automation for the deployment of video services platform infrastructure and applications in own datacenter and in AWS environments. This specialist will work with a number of services, including backend applications and infrastructure elements to automate their provisioning, enable the swift deployment, and ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

- Develop automation for provisioning applications, infrastructure, and network elements
- Integrate and test new features and requirements into the environment deployment pipelines
- Design and review of the solution architectures
- Documentation of solutions and handover to the operation teams
- Troubleshoot issues in UAT, Stage, and Production environments
- Promote changes to production
- Perform high-tier operational tasks, i.e. monitoring, root-cause analysis, handling escalations from operation teams, raising issues to vendors, etc.

Requirements:

- Advanced understanding of TCP/IP networking
- Proficiency with Linux
- Experience working with private clouds and public cloud services providers (VMWare/Openstack, AWS)
- Knowledge of AWS networking
- Experience with SDN (preferably Cisco ACI with VMWare)
- Experience with F5 LTM
- Solid understanding of network security principles and firewalls (Checkpoint R80 and VSX)
- Experience building overlay networks (I.e. flannel for Kubernetes), VPNs and configuring carrier-grade networks (MPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF)
- Knowledge of network-to-application level protocols
- Scripting skills (Python, Shell)
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools
- Understanding of CI/CD processes
- Monitoring/troubleshooting tools and skills
- Experience with CDN networks and DDOS mitigation solutions is a plus
CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certification is a plus
