Android AOSP Engineer (offline)

About the project

It is an innovative company specializing in interactive multi-touch tables with cutting-edge technology. Their custom software, developed by the founders of the company, converts a smart multi-touch table into a business power-tool. Their dynamic signature software converts a standard multi-touch table into an efficient and effective, yet creative way to engage with the customers, colleagues or employees.

You will be responsible for

• Modify and extend AOSP for new use cases and hardware
• Work on application framework functionality such as SystemUI, window management, notification management, input methods, etc.
• Implementation of custom services, applications, and device management features.
• Work on existing and new UI functionality and APIs, such as UI components, animations, text, layouts, etc.

Skills and knowledge required

• 3+ years of experience modifying AOSP framework
• Excellent proficiency with C++, Java and Android Programming
• Experience modifying framework services such as WindowManager, ActivityManager, PackageManager, SurfaceFlinger, etc
• Experience with customizing SystemUI - statusbar, lockscreen, navigation bar and notifications
• Experience with app development and creating custom views and layouts
• Experience with system design on Android and/or other operating systems
• Interest and passion for application architecture and AOSP architecture
