On this project, you will be a part of the team which works on the Empathetic Dialogue System, where we apply the latest advances in NLP, Reinforcement Learning, Voice Modeling, and Generative Modeling. Almost all the NLP tasks are solved on top of language models such as GPT-2 or BERT. Reinforcement learning is used to learn on real user-system interactions and orchestrate the utterance generation conditions and the next word probabilities tweaking.

What You Will Do
Responsibilities

- Support existing backend architecture for a mobile application;
- Implement new features and improve mobile app and backend service functionality;
- Integrate with other REST API services;
- Make architectural and technological decisions;
- Communicate with other members of the team and customers directly.

What You Should Bring
Must-have

- 1.5+ years of hands-on experience in Scala development;
- Akka toolkit (Actors, Streams, HTTP);
- Knowledge of functional programming, Client-Server architecture, REST APIs, Websocket;
- Proven experience with SQL databases;
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform;
- Strong knowledge of testing frameworks;
- Experience with SBT, Git, Docker, Kubernetes;
- At least Upper-Intermediate English level.

Nice-to-have

- Prior working experience with Data Science & AI projects.
