Sr DevOps Engineer (offline)
CompStak, a prominent NYC based data startup, focuses on gathering unique datasets via crowdsourcing and providing unprecedented insights to the Commercial Real Estate industry via state of the art data-intensive applications. We are expanding our tech team in Ukraine and looking for talented Senior DevOps Engineers to help us bring our unique data products to the market. What you will work on will challenge the status quo and change our industry forever. This is a remote opportunity, based in Kiev.
You will be working in the following environment:
— Scala/Haskell based public and private APIs
— Machine learning systems for processing and analyzing crowdsourced and public data
— Automated DevOps via SaltStack, Terraform, Nomad, Consul and Vault
— Polyglot development environment
— Data-driven product offerings
— Sophisticated search tech, based on Elasticsearch

What can you do?
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience who has a proven track record of managing AWS infrastructure-as-code with HashiCorp tooling. You will also be responsible for DevOps, CI/CD, and Release management. Your experience should include:
— Strong experience with the HashiCorp ecosystem: Nomad, Vault, Consul, Terraform, Packer
— Strong experience with configuring, maintaining and monitoring core AWS offerings (EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, RDS, Networking, etc) as infrastructure-as-code
— Linux administration
— Experience with building effective CI/CD pipelines is a must
— Experience with release management is preferred.
— Administrative knowledge of Relational and NoSQL databases
— Experience with configuring, maintaining and monitoring Apache Kafka is a big plus
— Experience monitoring Microservice infrastructure is a big plus.
— Be ready to work starting noon until 9 PM every day.
