Test Engineer Intern (offline)

At Sigma Software, we are looking for talented people, who love to learn and are keen on Testing.
During the internship, you will be involved in various projects, will use different technologies, and will closely work with a highly qualified team.

Under the supervision of the placement manager and through interaction with other department team members, you will have the opportunity to engage in a full spectrum of tasks and an overall understanding of how the Testing Department works.

After successful completion of the internship, you will have the chance to become a part of our team and work on Sigma Software’s projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and transform requirements to Test Cases
Perform functional testing
Report defects, monitor reported issues, and verify when they are resolved
Regularly and clearly report status and progress
Cooperate with dev team and provide possible solutions
Develop professional skills on a real project

REQUIREMENTS
Good technical background:
- Understanding of the basic principles of Client–Server model
- Basic knowledge of HTML (simple tags and pages)
- Basic knowledge of SQL (simple queries)
- Good experience of OS configuration/administration (Windows family)
Theoretical knowledge and understanding of software testing process and practices:
- Software development methodologies
- The glossary used in Software Testing, the main aspects of Software Testing process
- Testing types and test artifacts
- Understanding of Test Engineer role and responsibilities on the project
Test Documentation:
- Able to read and understand technical documentation
- Basic experience in the creation of test documentation (simple defect reports)
- At least Intermediate level of English (test documentation creation/communication with customer)
- Basic theoretical knowledge of Test Design techniques

Basic programming skills
Understanding of the aim and advantages of automation tests
Understanding of Web Services
Experience of using version control systems
