REQUIREMENTS

● Experience working in a B2B sales environment
● Familiarity with complex sales cycles and an account-based sales model
● Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Setting up custom demo environments for customer presentations
● Coordinating RFP responses and supporting the sales team by collating, compiling, and supplying
answers to sales related queries
● Interfacing with members of the sales team including solutions consultants, account executives,
and sales development representatives to ensure a well-functioning sales process
● Assisting in the set up and management of customer pilots and/or proof-of-concepts
● Participation in meetings between sales and product teams; interfacing with members of the
product team to collect information needed to support the sales process
● Assist in the creation of proposals and related sales materials
● Creating documentation and conducting research to support specific sales opportunities

Position Overview
Shelf is the future of knowledge management, leveraging analytics, AI and automation to make
managing diverse and ever changing content easier than ever before. We are an agile team
looking for people who can take responsibility, think out of the box, and work well within a
fast-paced environment.
The Sales Support Engineer plays a key role in Shelf’s sales process. They work closely with solution
consultant, sales development, and account executive personnel at Shelf to ensure that the product
demo portion of customer meetings are a success. This entails the setup of Shelf demo environments so
they are customized for the needs of each specific sales opportunity. This responsibility also applies to
the set up and management of pilot and proof-of-concept environments for key opportunities at later
stages of the sales process. Furthermore, the Sales Support Engineer plays a significant role in the RFP
process. They are responsible for reviewing RFP requests, identifying responses, and collating
information to ensure that the RFP response process is efficient, scalable, and results in positive
outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be able to work cross functionally with all members of the sales team and select
members of the product team to allow Shelf to provide superb product demonstrations and well-
articulated RFP responses. This candidate is extremely proficient in the english language and has strong
written and verbal communication skills. They are good at managing their workload to meet hard
deadlines, managing multiple concurrent projects, and able to accommodate time sensitive tasks that
require a short turnaround times.
