Technical Writer (offline)
GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Technical Writer to join its Kyiv office for BMC Digital Workplace team. We are looking for a Technical Writer with a proven ability to learn technical products and to comprehend and articulate complex subject matter, translating difficult concepts into clear, concise guidance for those using the products. Our client refers to this position as a Information Developer, because the successful candidate takes ownership and an active role in developing the customer-facing technical information.
The Information Developer is an active participant within the IDD team and with other cross-functional colleagues, such as those in engineering, QA, product management, customer support, product operations, and education. The Information Developer is expected to follow the guidance of information architects and lead writers, set the standard for less senior team members, collaborate with other team members on topic analyses, and work well with editors.
Exceptional planning, project management, and collaboration skills are required. Ability to ramp up quickly and excel in a fast-paced environment is a must.

Fluent in English.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Minimum 3 years of experience developing technical documentation for enterprise software users, system administrators, and other technical audiences.
Experience with IT and/or enterprise software.
Highly proficient with accepted industry-specific authoring tools, such as Confluence wiki, FrameMaker, Javadoc Help, RoboHelp, HTML, XML, Adobe Acrobat, SnagIT, Camtasia or Captivate, Paint Shop Pro, and so on.
A strong understanding of the documentation development process, the software development process, and product lifecycles.
Ability to understand and document the big picture of product interactions and integrations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with globally-distributed and culturally-diverse departments.
Ability to maintain professionalism when representing IDD. Help IDD cultivate good working relationships with groups internal and external to IDD and BMC.
Strong negotiation skills.

Maintain creativity while working within IDD standards and guidelines.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams and within the processes and systems established by those teams.
Balance project ownership, individual work, and team-based documentation delivery. Prioritize assignments based on business needs. Balance work volume and quality documentation. Handle multiple projects effectively.
Report accurate and timely status for all assignments. Escalate issues and risks to management with appropriate mitigation recommendations.
