Middle DevOps Engineer (AWS, Linux) @WePlay!Esports (offline)

We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for advanced technology and good communication skills who help us to move into a DevOps culture and is able to drive complex, large projects working with application engineers, as well as with automation and operations teams.

WePlay! Esports is the first esportainment-company, that combined eSport, storytelling and entertainment content. We want to surprise and entertain every eSport fan and attract new ones. We have been organizing eSport online tournaments and LAN-finals for professional teams of levels tier-1, tier-2 since 2012. We broadcast for millions of viewers from our studio to Twitch-channel and other stream-platforms. We have also developed our own WePlay! Esports online media and tournament platform.

Main tasks:
- Infrastructure architecture
- Kubernetes implementation (in future)
- Project TCO improvement
- Support and development of monitoring and automation processes for cloud solutions (AWS) and test environments on XEN virtualization
- Monitoring - Zabbix
- On-call duty (1 week on, three weeks off)
- SRE tasks: support for developers at all stages of development

Requirements:
- Strong system skills (Linux, networking, security)
- Knowledge of virtualization and containerization platforms (AWS CloudFormation, AWS ECS Docker, Xen/KVM Hypervisors). Experience with AWS cloud systems
- Strong hands on scripting languages experience (Ruby, Python or any other language)
- Understanding infrastructure as a code concepts and experience with tools such as Terraform, Puppet and/or Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or others
- Experience with security topics/tools in the cloud and in the DevOps world
Infrastructure as a code follows the same development process for applications, the candidate should be familiar with this process to implement changes
- Understand business and project objectives in terms of budget/costs, timeframes, objectives and factor these into designs and decisions
