Lead QA Automation Engineer (offline)

Project Description:
Our client is an Investment Bank, a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes. We are looking for an ambitious individual to fill a new challenging role focused on the development of testing tools and their introduction of different projects across the bank.
Our team: Rapidly expanding group in Kyiv developing and supporting a range of client projects and requirements
Technologies used: .NET, Java, Scala, Python with a large number of frameworks and vendor solutions. MS SQL and Oracle as RDBMS.
Opportunities: Rapidly growing team with opportunities for working directly with business users, expanding technical and capital markets knowledge, and developing consultancy / soft skills. Successful candidate would join a highly professional client team and will be working with UK based client directly.
Responsibilities:
- Development and design of testing tools, GUIs and related products in line with the bank's testing strategy
- Provide technical consultancy and help building production environments hosting QA applications and systems.
- Providing user and project support, including responding to user queries and supplying resolutions and fixes to issues.
- Liaise with project teams, system developers and other related areas to gather requirements.
- Liaise with third party suppliers of software used in automated testing.
- Coordinating change control which includes software management, testing and production release.
- Produce technical scope and test documentation for all changes.
Mandatory Skills:
- Testing automation experience with C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, Perl - at least 3 out of 5.
- SQL.
- Design methodologies and best practices.
- End to end development cycle knowledge.
- Experience of working in an investment banking technology environment.
- Planning and prioritisation skills.
- JIRA.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft HPC Server, Grid and Cloud Computing.
- Web Development with ASP .NET and MVC
- Big Data Stack with Spark and Hadoop.
- Continuous integration with Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Microsoft/Oracle Business Intelligence stack (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with TeamCity
- Experinece with Microfocus /TestRail/HPC QC/ALM/Sprinter
- Experience of large scale software projects implemented in C# .NET/Java/Python and MS SQL Server.
- Experience interacting with users to resolve complex technical problems.
- Experience working within a Dev Ops or Test Automation Technology team or equivalent role in finance.
- Experience providing technical solutions for large and complex data sets.
- Experience of credit and market risk reporting; PV, Sensitivity, Stress, VAR, P&L Rec, PFE, Credit utilisation.
- Experience preparing test scripts from manual testing documentation
- Exposure to third Party Banking systems: Murex, Moodys, Gloss, Oracle, SharePorint, Serena, Middleware, Intellimatch
