Support Engineer (offline)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring of system availability of virtual mobile operator (MVNO)
• Fault reporting, troubleshooting or escalation of evolving problem
• Cooperation with external service provider
• Monitoring and resolving tickets on the vendor’s portal
• Monitoring the quality of VoIP and SMS traffic of virtual mobile operator (MVNO)
• Evolving the monitoring system (description of metrics and triggers)
• Control and development of internal CRM system
• Updating information in support knowledge base
• Teamwork in the international geographically distributed team

WHAT WE EXPECT:

• Knowledge and understanding of VoIP (SIP, RTP), SMPP
• Knowledge and understanding the stack of TCP/IP protocols
• Experience with OTRS system and Redmine
• Understanding principles of maintaining and controlling tickets in other ticketing systems
• Deep knowledge and experience with any Linux distrib and shells (csh, bash etc.)
• Strong skills in monitoring systems (Monit/Zabbix)
• Experience in database services (Redis/MySQL/Mongo DB)
• English - strong intermediate level
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken)

WILL BE AS A PLUS:

• Experience with OpenSource VoIP and SMS software (FreeSWITCH/OpenSIPS, JasminSMS GW)
• Strong linux administration skills or database server
• Understanding of construction principles of billing systems
• Understanding of the principles of building VAS systems of mobile network operator
