Test Automation Engineer (offline)

CUSTOMER
Our customer is Swedish leading provider of systems for preschool, daycare, primary, secondary, music and art schools, and adult education.

PROJECT
The main tasks of the project are the development of new functionality for the developer product as well as integration into the markets of northern and western Europe.
Our web-based solutions provide effective tools for management, planning, and administration of school activities at all levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Participation in Scrum activities
Quality metrics, KPIs gathering, and tracking
Defects reporting and their further processing
Implementation of Test Strategy points for QA process establishment
Working on TA coverage extension. Coverage analysis
TA integration into development process, including CI process
Auto-tests design and implementation for the defined scope
Review of artifacts delivered by other colleagues, including both test artifacts and test automation code
Smoke/Regression activities performing, TA runs results analysis and communication with the team
Regular spent efforts tracking and sharing
Regular and clear status and progress reporting
Regular communication with Customer and Sigma team

REQUIREMENTS
At least 3 years of experience in automation testing of web applications
Good understanding of TA goals, areas of applicability, activities, deliverables
Commercial experience in TA on JavaScript (ES5/ES6). Experience in using mainstream TA libraries from JS
Solid experience working with main test documentation types (Test Cases, Check-lists, Bug Reports, Test Report, TA Run Report etc.)
Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies
Good understanding of OOP paradigm and its projection to code
Understanding of most common code design patterns and paradigms, ability to clearly recognize them in own code
Experience in existing TA Framework architectural decomposition and adjustment
Good understanding of RESTful architectural style
Experience working with VCS (GIT)
Experience in direct communication with client and/or client’s team
Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English
WOULD BE A PLUS:
Experience working with complex test documentation types (Test Plan, Test Strategy, Sign-off report, Quality Status report)
Understanding of TA efficiency concept and attributes. Knowledge on main TA KPIs
Experience in the creation of TA related documentation – User/Dev guides, TA Framework API documentation, etc.
Experience in TA Framework architecture design from scratch
