Internship for Test Engineer (with DOMAIN EXP) (offline)

Project Description:
e-terrahabitat is the product intended to provide framework for real-time management and control systems supporting energy and O&G transmission control. Consists of database, permission, security and alarm management, logging and various interfaces.
Our Client is the world's leader in the electricity domain and Luxoft's partner for more than 10 years. The goal of the project is to provide our customer with a service of preparation and testing of e-terraplatform releases and regular patches.

Team consists of manual test engineers and back end developers.
Opportunities to get fulltime billable position and growth as manual or automation QA.

Virtual Environment support.

Responsibilities:
Manual black-box functional testing, regression testing, acceptance and customers' defects testing.
Participate in creation of a test documentation (test plans, test cases, checklists).
Test environment configuration and maintenance (Windows, Linux).
Client communication (spoken and / or written).

Mandatory Skills:
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux OS (server, admin, console);
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes, and tools and ability to use it in practice;
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly;
• Self-disciplined, goal-oriented and ability to work in a team;
• English - Intermediate reading/writing/speaking skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• 1+ years of working experience in Power Systems domain (preferably automation and/or computation);
• Electrical Power Engineering Education;
• Linux, working with command line - intermediate
Existing experience in QA (any);
• Any script language or power shell or CLI (command line interface) - intermediate
Understanding Defect management systems (e.g. Jira);
• Understanding of test result evaluation, reporting, and metrics systems;
• Understanding of version control systems (TFS / SVN / GIT);
• Experience operating software with difficult workflows and specific UI.


Optional:
• Working experience with energy transmission and control systems (familiarity with EMS, SCADA);
• Theoretical knowledge of processes and technologies used in energy production/transmission;
• Understanding of continuous integration (CI) process and instruments (Hudson/Jenkins);
• Programming skills (C#).
