Development Team Lead for e-commerce projects (offline)

Gorilla Group is seeking a full-time Development Team Lead for our Kyiv, Ukraine office. This individual will code solutions to client business problems, consult on the direction & strategy of Gorilla’s development practices, and ensure growth of developers within our Kyiv office in both technical and soft skills.

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership & mentorship to development team within our Kyiv office
Consult on technical solutions for both internal and external stakeholders
Design and code solutions to meet defined business requirements
Enforce and improve organizational development standards and best practices
Identify training and career growth opportunities for our Kyiv team members

Technical skills:
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in one or more modern application programming language such as PHP, Java, or equivalent (Ruby, Apex, C#, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of object-oriented principles and design patterns
Experience with web services (SOAP, XML-RPC, REST) and APIs
Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries in RDBs
Ability to explain in detail modern DevOps practices such as continuous integration
Capable of authoring and maintaining high quality technical documentation in English
Experience with packaged solutions delivery desired but not required

Interpersonal and Social Skills:
Desire to lead by influence across multiple levels of an organization
Experience mentoring development team members
Agency & commerce experience desired
Experience with North American based clients and culture
Exceptional communication
Ability to multitask and smoothly transition between tasks across multiple projects
Must be effective working independently as well as part of a team
Fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian
