DevOps Engineer for Migration team (offline)

You will be responsible for investigating platforms, preparing full automated scripts using our migration framework, help the Migration Operators debugging failed migrations and optimize our existing infrastructure and processes.

Responsibilities:

- Investigate source and target Platforms and develop processes to migrate the Hosting workload between them.

- Prepare reliable migration scripts to transform and migrate data from the old to the new hosting environments

- Build communication Modules for the provisioning / deprovisioning APIs

- Build systems for automation of core tasks

- Ensure the performance and scalability of the Migration Framework

- Debug and eliminate logical issues in the Migration Flow



Skills, Qualifications and Personal Qualities Required:

- Strong Linux administration experience (Bash, shell utilities, etc.)

- Strong knowledge of Ansible (experience using other configuration management systems is a plus)

- Knowledge of at least one scripting language like Bash, Perl, PHP - preferable Python

- Experience with APIs (REST, SOAP)

- Experience with Git

- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes

- Strong experience with Web Servers (Apache/Nginx)

- Experience with MySQL/GaleraDB, experience using PostgreSQL is a plus

- Hands-on experience with monitoring and diagnostic on OS/Applayers

- Experience with firewall management

- Ability to work quickly and effectively

- Team player – able to operate in a congenial and open manner
