Senior Software Engineer, python (offline)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer and architect to grow our product and to start a new, green-field project in the area of privacy.

Your responsibilities will span:

• Develop new functionality on our systems (~40%)
• Develop new green-field projects (~20%)
• Build up our DevOps infrastructure (~10%)
• Overlook customer support (~10%, most of which technical investigation)
• Maintain our current globally distributed cluster (~10%)

Here’s some concrete examples of tasks you may pick from our pipeline:

• Shift some API functions to Amazon Lambda
• Build a log processing pipeline in ELK
• Introduce Continuous Integration
• Integrate Telegram into our customer notification system
• Build a new billing system to automate invoicing for Credit Card, PayPal and Wire transfers
• Build an open-source version of a small decrypting reverse proxy to improve DNS security for the public – high-performance and high reliability
• Build a new web-based product to improve privacy control at consumers

What you bring:

• Fluency in English
• A “can do” attitude and eagerness to learn the tool for the task
• Experience across the dev stack, in more of: web, backend, sysadmin, networking, security
• Experience in software architecture, to assess and select the most suited solution for a problem
• An autonomous and pro-active spirit
