POSITION DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a highly skilled, highly motivated Lead Engineer to help us create the next-generation HRM platform, to create beautiful code, be part of the team to set quality code standards, set processes & work methodologies. A person with a strong passion for technology to join our team. You should be just as comfortable building a quick prototype as you are writing tests on production code or implementing pixel perfect designs.
Responsibilities
● Improving the current PHP/NodeJS application backend
● Software design and development of new features
● Responsible of developing & growing the backend team (optional)
● Work closely with the founding team and product manager
● Progressing the company to microservices
Required Skills
● 5+ Years combined professional experience with PHP
● Passionate about scalability and security
● Master version control, especially git
● Deep knowledge in Continuous Integration and Software Development Lifecycle
Management (deep knowledge of Scrum, Jira, Jenkin, Maven or similar tools)
● You’ve built high availability systems before
● You write clean code, love unit testing (optional TDD/BDD), and value readability
over cleverness
● Strong knowledge in Linux-based systems and system administration
● Prior experience with scaling and clustering applications
● Deep knowledge of MySQL/Postgres or similar
● Deep knowledge of common design patterns
● Very strong knowledge of IoC frameworks
● Good knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud
● Excellent communication skills to lead the team and recruit new future
employees
● Experience with web service frameworks and API technologies
● Practical experience in an agile software development environment
● Ability to adapt quickly
● Fluent language skills in English is required
● Self-driven and result oriented; You'll jump on a task and drive it to completion
● Comfortable in a fast paced startup
● Bonus: Knowledge of containers, kubernetes, AWS lambdas, microservices,
machine-learning
