Principal QA/Technical Lead (offline)
On behalf of JustEat (http://www.just-eat.com/), Ciklum is looking for Principal QA Engineer to join Kiev team on full-time basis.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience with testing applications with microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud technologies
• Experience with testing application that has 3rd party integrations/services
• Experience with CI/CD
• Understanding of release process from QA perspective
• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems
• Experience with setup testing process from scratch
• Experience/Understanding of mobile testing
• Experience with working on scalable systems, particularly for effective load testing of those systems.
• The candidate would need to be fully self-sufficient and proactive as we would expect him/her to dive into a team and understand how the teams currently operate, identify the gaps from a quality perspective, and then make recommendations and work with the teams (engineers and tech managers) to drive initiatives forward.
Responsibilities:
• Be able to work across time zones and support teams in UK, CA and Kyiv. This does not mean working extended hours, but the ability to work with remote teams effectively.
• Work with teams to make sure they have a test strategy in place and documented.
• Show genuine interest in keeping up with the latest testing technologies so that this person could advise on potential alternatives to our current setups, e.g. investigating alternative testing frameworks/setups to speed up our tests.
• Be experienced in running workshops so that the individual could share his/her knowledge of best practices with the teams on a regular basis.
• For the major projects, the individual may be required to participate in Tech/QA ticket kick-off sessions to help flesh out acceptance criteria and ensure all happy/unhappy paths were catered for. This would be at a high level and on ad hoc basis depending on the need.
• Act as the proxy between the different Ops team and the QE Guild. The individual should work closely with the guild and be responsible for sharing information both ways, and driving the right initiatives back into the Ops pillar.
