Data Scientist

Moscow · $2000 · 7 years of experience · Advanced/Fluent

I've been programming for 8 years now, mostly in JavaScript and Python. In the last 4 years I participated in the development of several complex applications. During the last year I completed several machine learning and math courses. I also took part in several competitions, the last one was Yandex Championship. At my last job I led the development of the client application for the Waves blockchain platform. Designed the architecture, and performed security analysis. Created a library to work with cryptography and the blockchain API. I also gave lectures about blockchain, including the talk at HighLoad++ 2017. I swiftly grasp new knowledge, and I am actively studying mathematics.

Python, pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, combinatorics, calculus, linear algebra, graph theory, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, REST API

I want to start working with NLP or CV (both areas hold my attention as of now) in a team with a good mentoring attitude. I can offer not only to complete my own tasks but also to help others and propose insights on the current problems. Although I'm okay with writing some production code, I would prefer to dive deep into research (that is, it would be nice to have a 20/80 or a 30/70 balance between the two). While I also can prototype a frontend app, I would love not to. I certainly won't do any HTML/CSS stuff.

Team Lead/Senior Ruby Developer

Remote work, Russia · $5000 · 10 years of experience · Upper Intermediate

I have been writing in Ruby for about 10 years. The last year I'm doing Data Science in Python. I worked with different projects in different areas: travel, video streaming, email marketing, VPN service, aero etc. There were projects with a lot of confusing business logic and a lot of legacy code. I also wrote projects from scratch and as a team lead built the team. I spent a lot of time on debugging difficult bugs and optimise bottleneck. I'm not afraid to try something new and I really like to learn something new. I focus on product and client requests but still spends enough time on making a good design of project architecture. I'm looking for a good team and an interesting project where you can apply my experience. I’m a little tired of companies where no one is ready to make decisions and don't let you do it. I’m looking for a team that is not afraid to change something to make the code easily supported, understandable and extensible.
